Cross Country Course Hire

Mill Farm DIY Cross Country Course Hire

Cost is £14 per pony, per hour, with discounts for multiple users at the same time.  Unless you book more than one pony at the same time, the field will be available exclusively for you!  This should provide comfort and security that you can bring an instructor and your lesson time will no be interrupted by others!

Opening Hours – 8 am to 8 pm. Booking calendar will show availability.

Mill Farm DIY Livery Yard Cross Country will be open (hopefully!) from 19 May 2024 for all users!  We can’t wait to see you all again and look forward to being tagged in more fabulous photos!

The course has been built by Oliver Goody Construction and designed by Tim Cheffings, a youth coach with BE, and it is designed to test and challenge whilst allowing you to put together your own course of fences.

The course is a fun and inviting course, designed to build confidence for both the pony and the rider.  Set in three acres, the course has over 30 jumps from 40 cm warm up jumps through to 100 cm tractor and wishing wells.  All jumps are clearly marked so that you know exactly what you are jumping – including ditches, trakeners, and a step!  We have a pairs practice fence as well as a number of skinnies and an owl hole – so there’s something for everyone! A new addition is the BE standard XC Start Box as well as Pony Club Tetrathalon standard Gate and Slip Rail - perfect for practice!

All jumps are fully staked, with lots of the cross country flags – most jumps are designed to be jumped either way and so do have fun building your own route!  If there is a white and a red flag on the jump, remember that red is on the right!
